Obituary of Paul S. Minetti
Paul S. Minetti, of Rockaway Twp./Wharton, passed away peacefully in comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was 82 years young.
Born and raised in Brooklyn to the late Angelo and Lena Minetti, he was one of two children. He graduated from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, where he was the Shot Put Champion in 1953. Paul then went on to join the Water Polo Team at St. Francis College in Brooklyn. During his time attending St. Francis College, he found his love for chemistry and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in 1957. While enjoying his college graduation party, he met his true love and soulmate, Jeanette Giunta. They were married in 1958 and relocated to NJ for Paul’s work as a Chemist. He had many jobs, the most recent as Director of Quality Control & Quality Assurance & FDA Compliance for Reheis Pharmaceutical in Berkley Heights. Paul was an expert in FDA Compliance. Over the years Paul has been Vice President of Jaycee’s, member of the American Chemical Society, Director of Education for NJPQCA. As a dedicated member for 50 yrs at St. Cecilia’s RC Church, he was Past Charter President of Home & School Association, member of the Finance Committee, Parish Council, R.C.I.A Program for 30 yrs., and Lector for 50 yrs. Paul was a very intelligent, hard working, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Left to continue his legacy is his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeanette; his treasured children, Loraine G. Cestone and her husband Frank S., Steven P. Minetti and his wife Anna M., Vince A Minetti and his wife Beata J., and David R. Minetti and his wife Stephanie A.; his adored grandchildren, Frank, Alexandra, Brittany, Brandon, Tyler, Ashley, Olivia, Mason, Haley, and Cameron; his caring siblings, Louisa Barresi & her husband Louis and Sandra Giunta and the late F. Aldo; and his loving nieces and nephews, Lisa, Diane, Andrea, Kimberly, and Joshua.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3rd from 4 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 10 am at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 90 Church St., Rockaway, NJ. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Memorial Donations are being accepted to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence and special memory for his family.
