Gregory Peter Izzo, of Wharton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018. He was 67 years young.

Born and raised in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Helen Izzo, Gregory was one of four children. In 1994, he married his best friend, Elizabeth Ann Izzo. Together they have a beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Rose. For one year while Elizabeth was younger, Gregory was able to be a stay at home Dad while in between jobs, and he adored every second that he was able to spend with his daughter. He was the greatest Dad anyone could ever ask for. He will always be treasured and remembered as such. Together as a family they traveled extensively.

Gregory was a very talented Automotive Technician, with a passion for cars. He worked for many places over the years, the last place of employment being Lake Hiawatha Sunoco in Parsippany. He played many sports in High School and later years including bowling, baseball, softball, and most recently, enjoying golf as a retired man. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

Predeceased by his sister, Donna Costello, left to continue his legacy of unconditional love, hard work, and laughter alive is his beloved wife of 24 years, Betty Ann Izzo; his cherished daughter, Elizabeth Rose Izzo; his loving siblings, Edward Izzo and his wife Sharon and Joann Blaker; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
