Obituary of Gilda Trabucco
Gilda “Gi” Trabucco passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was 49 years old.
Gilda will always be remembered as a social butterfly with a heart as big as her personality. Her infectious smile and laughter filled every room she entered. She made friends wherever she went; her friends and family feel blessed to have known her.
Gi loved preparing and serving food, taking trips to the beach, and traveling. She especially enjoyed her recent visit to Italy to spend time with relatives. She had a true love for animals and a special place in her heart for lambs and butterflies. She loved life and never took the little things for granted.
Gi grew up in Bloomfield, NJ, and spent the majority of her life working and residing in New York City. Although she recently moved back to NJ to be closer to her family, she was always a true city girl at heart.
A dedicated and hard worker, she was the Manager at Florian and Le Pain Quotidien in NY and various hotel chains in NJ. But her resume didn’t end there. Gi had many interests and skills; she was a licensed massage therapist, bartender, and phlebotomist, and she loved to volunteer.
Gi was a special daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Although Gilda was taken too soon from us, we find comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her mom, Maria Paulina “Lina,” her beloved nephew, Jimmy, and her step mother, Adelina. Her legacy of unconditional love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of her caring father, Carlo Perugini; her loving siblings, Josephine and her husband Jim, Rocco and his wife Cheryl, and Francesco and his wife Erica; her treasured nieces and nephews, Maria, Carlo, Lina, and Alexander and many other extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 21st from 2- 4pm & 7-9pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly donate to St. Peter’s Orphanage, 170 Diamond Spring Rd., Denville, NJ 07834. (When writing your checks or donating online, make sure to include in the memo that your appreciated donation is in memory of Gilda Trabucco).
Please leave a condolence and special memory here for her family.
