Obituary of Luis Gonzalez

Luis Gonzalez, of Wharton, passed away peacefully with his loving son by his side on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.

Luis was born in Durazno, Uruguay, and raised in Montevideo to the late Bernabe and Maria Gonzalez. Uruguay is where he met his soulmate, Gladys. They married on August 8, 1951 and came to the United States in 1972. Luis was a very hard worker, making sure to always provide for his family. He was a class act and made sure to live his life on his own terms. He was a man a few words, which meant when he spoke, you would listen. Above anything else, he was the greatest husband, father, brother, and friend that anyone could ever ask for. He will be sorely missed.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Gladys, he leaves joyful memories to his cherished son, Luis Gonzalez; his caring nephew, Jorge Andrade and his wife Sonia and their daughter, Antonella; and loving nephew Ruben Gilgorri.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, July 17^th at 10 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover. Please leave a condolence and special memory for his family.
