Obituary of Lorraine Anna Barnes
Lorraine Anna Barnes passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Majestic Nursing Home in Red Bank, NJ.
Born in East Orange on June 20, 1918, Lorraine was a resident of Denville, NJ for most of her life, graduating from Rockaway High School. She also worked for many years as a Secretary at General Stamping in Denville, NJ. Lorraine leaves behind a lifetime of memories, traditions, and a very special sense of humor that will remain in our hearts forever.
She is predeceased by her husband Arthur A. Barnes and her daughter, Lorraine Margaret Barnes. She is survived by her loving sons, Arthur Gary Barnes and his wife Kathleen of Old Bridge, Robert Allen Barnes and his wife Beverly of Denville, and Richard Daniel Barnes of Memphis, TN; her cherished grandchildren, Jeanne M. McCarthy and her husband Ken, Cindy L. Fagan and her husband Brian, Sharon L. Filler and her husband Steve, Debra A. O’Brien and her husband Tom, and Jeffrey W. Barnes and his wife Erinn; her treasured 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Public Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 31st from 10 am – 12 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Funeral Service will take place at 12 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
