Obituary of Catherine M. Dugan
Catherine M. Dugan, of Branchville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was 87 years young.
Born and raised in Tunkhannock, PA, to the late Joseph and Mary Skovronsky, she was one of fifteen children. With her sister, Marie, Catherine relocated to Morris Plains, NJ where she met the love of her life, Robert Dugan. They married and moved to Denville to begin their family. Mom and Dad bought Green Tent Co., in Wharton, in the 70’s, and they operated it for 25+ years. In the 80’s the Dugan family relocated to Branchville to officially settle in. Catherine was a proud member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater. Her hobbies included sewing, playing cards, and taking long rides in the car with Dad. Her first priority in life was her beloved family. She was a dedicated wife and mother and adored spending time with her grandchildren. She will forever be treasured and remember in our hearts and souls.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert and her son, John Patrick Dugan, she leaves only joyful memories to her daughter, Linda Dugan Landry and her husband Dennis; her son, Bob Dugan and his wife Honeybear; her niece, whom she loved like a daughter, Susan Stanton; her cherished grandchildren, Robert Dugan, Jr. and his wife Yelda, Jack Dugan, Kelsey Dugan, and Hali Tease and her fiancé Erik Bailey; her great-granddaughter, Ayla Rose Dugan; her sister-in-law, Betty Skovronsky; and her brother-in-law, Jack Stanton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., October 13th at 10 am at First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater, 901 Main St, Stillwater Township, NJ 07875.
