Obituary of Shirley Shemin
Shirley Shemin, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Care One at Morris in Parsippany.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, she met and married the love of her life, Franklin Shemin in 1956. Shirley was a hard worker. Her latest career was as a Receptionist for Dr. Larry Edelman Dental in Dover. Prior to that, she co-owned and operated the Video Village video store with her husband in the Roxbury Mall. Shirley was a social butterfly. She loved to play games and cards with her friends and also thoroughly enjoyed traveling. Shirley was a phenomenal wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Franklin, her son, Orin, and brother, Albert, her legacy will live on in her treasured son, Craig and his wife Stephanie of NY; her dear daughter-in-law, Martha of Teaneck; her loving sister-in-law, Fran; her loving niece, Jane; and many beloved cousins.
Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 6th at 11 am at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 685 Fairview Ave., Fairview, NJ 07022. Memorial Donations can be made in Shirley’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
