Obituary of Gary Alan Davis
Gary A. Davis, died peacefully at home on April 22nd in the company of his family after a short battle with cancer. His spirit and kindness will forever be held in our hearts.
He was raised in Rutland Massachusetts to Howard and Ruth Davis (Walker). Gary spent decades in the accounting profession, primarily in the food distribution industry. In his retirement, he ran a successful firewood and small engine repair business from the home he built with his own hands. A true New Englander, he was a hard worker, a nature enthusiast, and could build or fix nearly anything. Gary could be found tending to his vegetable garden, baking cookies and breads, and spending quality time hiking in the woods with his kids and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his colorful jokes and commentary, and infectious laughter and smile.
Gary is survived by his devoted partner of 35 years, Evelyn Krupka; loving children Jeffrey E. Davis (Melinda) and Jessica E. Davis (Darren Kluesner); cherished granddaughters Hailey and Caitlyn Davis; caring siblings Kathie Moskovitz (Mark) and Glenn Davis (Nancy) and many other dear relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, on Friday, April 27th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Donations in his honor can be made to the good works of the American Cancer Society by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please share a memory or leave a condolence for the family.
