I was just sitting here wondering about Dr. Ferrante for no known reason. Dr. Ferrante was our family physician and was very kind.
One time,he asked my very young daughter if she wanted to be his nurse whe she grew up. She quickly answer “No I want to be in the circus”.
How he laughed at her answer.

Dr. Ferrante was my childhood doctor. Most children hate going to the doctor for an exam or when they are sick. I use to look forward to seeing him. No matter how bad I felt, he would always make me smile or laugh. He was always in a good mood, had a joke or a smile. He loved to tease his patients as well as his staff. My prayers are with his family. RIP Dr. Ferrante.

Dear Ferrante family,
Please accept our deepest condolences on
your loss. Dr. Ferrante was a beloved man by all who knew him and a top notch physician by all who were fortunate enough to be in his care. He took amazing care of my family beginning with my grandparents, George & Mary Thone, and continued on through my entire family until his retirement. He was so good to us and we’ll never forget the extra care he gave his patients by doing house calls too. There will never be another one like him. May he Rest In Peace and his long life leave you with many loving, happy and cherished memories to carry you through the days and years ahead. We thank God for him!

Condolences to you, Mirella, and your families. Among the many things I remember about Vito, I especially loved his quick wit and watching the fun filled banter between him and my mother. I’m sure they are continuing their debates now.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Ferrante. Please accept my condolences to all of his family. Dr. Ferrante was our family doctor for many years. We truly loved him for his kindness and compassion. My mother suffered from mental illness and would only trust Dr. Ferrante. Only he could convince her to take her medication. And he was unfailingly kind to her. We always thanked God that we found him. Such a good man. God Bless him.

I remember meeting Dr. Ferrante in 1983 prior to my son, John being born. My husband and I wanted to retain a general practitioner to take care of our son when he was born. I'll never forget Dr. Ferrante putting us both at ease stating that he gave the same shots and medication that pediatricians did, but he was less expensive. One time my son had such a high fever, Dr. Ferrante explained what we should do and he even called our house twice to make sure that he was recovering. We also had him take care of our other son, Michael when he was born. He was such a kind and understanding individual. Our sincere condolences to his entire family. May he rest in peace.

Dr.Ferrante was my sister and my doctor starting in the early 60's through the mid 70's. He called us " the crazy kids" and I have very fond memories of him coming to our house when we were ill. The last time I saw him was 40 yrs ago, right after I had my son. He was a wonderful doctor and he'll be greatly missed.

Dr Ferrante was my doctor from a very young age. He always listened to anything I had to say and after becoming an adult I brought my first child in to see my favorite doctor of all time. After I went into the Navy, I was always Captain or Admiral. He had taken care of me and and all of his patients. I will always miss him.

I’m so sad to hear of Dr. Ferrante’s passing. Growing up, he was my family doctor in Rockaway. He had the bedside manner of a saint, along with a smile, and warm greeting and a pinch of a toe. What a wonderful legacy he has left the world. Dr. Ferrante was so kind and gentle, let alone just a lovely person to be around. In my memory, he is probably the role model that sticks out the most in my childhood. I have never forgotten his sense of compassion, his smile, his accent, or how he would console patients, even if you were a little kid of hypochondriac symptoms sometimes. It was an honor to have known him. He truly left the world a better place.
