Obituary of Teresa Troisi

Teresa Troisi passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018 at Applewood Estates in Freehold, NJ. She was 95 years young. Teresa was born in North Bergen to Leoninda (Petruzziello) and James V. Troisi. In her younger years, she assisted her parents in their floral business. Teresa was a pioneer of women in business. She received her paralegal certification from New York University, dedicating her entire career to corporate and private law firm sectors as a paralegal. Teresa retired at the ripe old age of 74. While she truly enjoyed working, she always found the time to spend quality time with family and friends, read a good mystery novel, tour museum exhibits, and go to the Theatre, Symphony, and the Opera. Teresa considered herself a "City Girl" and delighted in living only a short bus ride from New York City. In 2005, Teresa moved from Fort Lee to Applewood Estates. She was an active member of the Applewood community, orchestrating various activities and initiatives for the betterment of the residents, as well as serving on administrative boards. Teresa was instrumental in raising funds for a new jitney bus in addition to suggesting the purchase and use of a scooter to assist the medical staff in responding quickly to resident's medical needs. She will be remembered fondly for her friendship, honesty, kind-heartedness, love, and wisdom. Teresa leaves behind wonderful memories to her family and many, many people who were happy to be called her friends. Teresa's Life Celebration will include visitation at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com on Monday March 12, 2018, from 10:00AM to 12:30PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:ooPM at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Denville.
