Obituary of Catherine H. Wilton
Catherine H. Wilton, of Denville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was 93 years young.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, she has been a New Jersey resident since the late 50’s. She met and married her soulmate, Robert J. Wilton in the Bronx and together they relocated to Boonton to raise their family. Catherine was a hard worker, having several jobs throughout her life. Most recently, she was a Food Service Worker for St. Clare’s in Denville for over 20 years, retiring at age 84. Her most important job was being the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that she could be. Family was always her first priority. She was a member of St. Mary’s RC Church and enjoyed solving crosswords and other puzzles when able. Catherine will be sorely missed and forever treasured in our memories.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert in 1981, she leaves only joyful memories to her loving sons, Robert P. Wilton and his wife Lenora of Budd Lake and Thomas A. Wilton and his wife Pamela of Morris Plains; her cherished grandchildren, Diane Marciano and her husband David, Bobby, Kevin, and David Wilton; her adored great-grandchildren, David, Landon, and Travis; and many more extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 19th from 4 – 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20th at 10 am at St. Mary’s RC Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover. Memorial Donations are being accepted in her memory to Compassionate Care Hospice by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
