For many years I remember Barry ttending Wednesday Riomeos' meetrings athe restaurant site changed over the years but the romeos' remained true and constant friends- Jim Wiklbur, marty hagerty, frank MCgrath and so many others, Are there going to be Romeo meetings in the hereafter mY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO dONNA AND THE FAMILY

Dear Donna and Christi, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Barry’s life and grieve his loss. I have many fond memories of your family at Sheil, and of working with Barry on Holy Week Reader presentations. Most of all I remember collaborating with him after John Krump died, when we were asked to write a description of the Sheil community, which the Archdiocese sent to candidates applying to become the new chaplain of the Sheil Center. We must have done something right, because the new chaplain who came as a result of the search was Fr. Ken Simpson, who stayed with us for fifteen years and brought the Center into prominence as among the best campus ministries in the country. Your whole family was very much a part of that, and for those of us still around to remember, you are still ours, and so we feel your loss with you. May God give you comfort and the joy of good memories. Peace, Ardis

Dear Donna and family, Barry was a dear man whom I enjoyed getting to know during that period when he and I did monthly Sunday presentations on The Universe Story at Sheil. Barry was so open-minded and knowledgeable -- more than generous with the many videos he shared on this topic with us all. Our conversations are missed as well as his passion for The Story. Dear Donna and Christi, We send our love. Donna, you and Barry's influence on our lives was significant. Christi, we remember you babysitting for our toddlers, Bryan (now 31) and Meredith (1 week from 29). The whole Sheil group were a great example of leading a thoughtful life and making an impact for the better. Barry has reached his rich reward.
