Obituary of Ronald D. Lockwood

Ronald D. Lockwood Sr. of Denville, NJ. Born in Morristown he had lived in Denville, NJ since 1962. He was a 1955 graduate of Morristown High School. He then went to work as a printer for Compton Press in Morristown for 35 years before retiring in 2004. Ron was very active in Denville Little League for 32 years, holding every office there was, and was instrumental in getting the stand built in the 1970's. He was also active in St. Mary's Church, serving as usher and Senior Acolyte. He was also a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society for 51 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen (Connelly) Lockwood in 2014, and his siblings Sharon Lee and James Stewart Lockwood. Ronald is survived by his loving children Ronald Jr. and his wife Jane Lockwood, Laurie and her husband Steve Vittorio, William and his wife Tara Lockwood, Colleen and her husband John Cullim, Kevin and his wife Laura Lockwood as well as his grandchildren Ashley Riehl and her husband Josh, Lindsay and Emily Lockwood, Matthew, Christina and Andrew Vittorio, Ciara and Gavin Lockwood, Madyson, Molly and Devan Cullim, and Charlotte and Liam Lockwood. He is also survived by his sister Judith and her husband Ron Antonaccio and his sister in law Carolyn Lockwood and many nieces and nephews and his companion Trudy Welch. Funeral services will begin at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 on Friday January 19, 2017, at 9am and then going to St. Mary's Church in Denville for a 10AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Morristown. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday January 19, from 2:00PM to 9:00PM.
