Obituary of Joan H. Malvey

Joan H. Malvey (Hoar) passed away at Morristown Medical Center on January 1, 2018, at the age of 85.
Born in Waterbury, CT, she had lived in Parsippany and in Basking Ridge, NJ before moving to Southport, NC for 20 years, and then to Denville, NJ on 2016.
Joan was a graduate of nursing school and worked as a registered nurse in St. Clares Hospital and in the office of Dr. Edoga in Morristown, NJ before retiring in 1996.
She loved travelling and dining out, especially taking island trips to warm sunny places.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, William Malvey of Denville, and her loving children Lynn & her husband John Conover of Sparta, Eileen Malvey of Lincoln Park, Mark and his wife Annie Malvey of Grand Haven, MI, Steven and his wife Vicky Malvey of Burlington, NJ and Ken and his wife Lori Malvey of Newton, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sean, Dylan, Dayna, Luke, Jonah, Matthew, and Christina, as well as her step grandson John Jr. and her sister Arlene Stokes.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2017, at 10:00am at Saint Mary's R.C. Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ 07834 Under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
