Arthur was a good friend and I miss him terribly. We became friends when he would come in often at "I'm in a Hurry Pizza" . We had lots of laughs, he had such a great sense of humor.

We met Arthur many years ago through our Sannino family. Over the years we enjoyed many wonderful holidays, meals, movies (some movies not so wonderful...El Topo??), conversations and precious time together at the gracious home of Rob & Irene. To know him was to love him. We considered him family. He watched our daughters grown from toddlers into teenagers. Arthur left us with wonderful memories and hysterical stories. "His spot", the first kitchen chair on the right, will be forever remembered. With deepest sympathy. John & Lynn Nobile

I met Arthur 30 years ago @ GTS. Five years later I started my own business management company and Arthur became my accountant. He was a great accountant, educating me on the so-called "grey area" that a good CPA navigates in.
For the last 25 years, Arthur became a member of my family and spent most holidays, birthdays, and special occasions with us. We even went on vacation together a few times, most notably to Italy in 2010. Everyone in my circle of family and friends knew Arthur, and people were surprised when he wasn't at a particular event. I guess they missed his stories, opinions and they way he held court to anyone who would engage him.. His stories were legendary!
Arthur was honest, loyal and all inclusive, he liked nothing more than to bring a group of people together to enjoy each other's company (and his stories.) He was always willing to go anywhere - Broadway, concerts, Philly, Boston, DC, and he always made a point of saying "isn't this great!"
Arthur was full of confidence and thought nothing of going out to a show or dinner in a nice restaurant by himself as he developed a relationship with the waitress or bartender (more stories.) He would not be denied.
I now think of Arthur in heaven, drink in hand, sitting at a table with Churchill, Jimi Hendrix and LBJ, sharing his wisdom with them and maybe telling a few jokes.
I can't describe how much Arthur will be missed by all of us who loved and enjoyed him. RIP brother!

We are very sad to hear of the sudden death of Arthur. We have many happy memories of his visits to Ireland. He was easy company and fitted in very well with all his relatives and friends here. We especially enjoyed his sense of humour.
We are sorry that he will not be visiting us again and would like to express our sympathy to all his friends and family in USA. We are especially thinking of Robin and Lucas.

My friendship with Art.
When I first met Artie, he was the most talented Staff CPA at the Public Accounting firm where I arrived as a over-confident, book-wise, but real-world lacking, rookie junior professional. Art was the man. Smart, savvy, true-blue dedicated, focused professional. And.... a great guy, street-wise and very knowledgeable. I was so lucky to have Arthur assigned to training the rookie. We hit it off immediately and he was the best professional mentor, and greatest friend a person could hope for.
Our friendship spands 35 years. Friendships like that don't happen often. We remained the closest of friends, with the passage of time.
Like a brother, easy to talk to, understanding, advice you could trust. A Generous heart and soul, through and through.Time could never dull Art's unique perspective and sense of humor.
I'll miss my friend Art tremendously.

Art was a very close friend of my wife Debby and mine for 32 years. We spent many weekends together playing golf, having some drinks, laughs and enjoying each other's company. More importantly, besides golf we shared many other moments and memories going to dinners, parties, concerts and shows with other friends and family throughout the years. His humor and infectious smile were some of his traits that drew you into befriending him. In addition, his intelligence, generosity, and concern for others is why he has been such a longtime friend of mine and will always be with me in my heart and soul. It was shocking to hear of his passing at such a young age and brought the reality that nothing is certain in life. I am saddened like all others, I will no longer be able to have the conversations and laughs we used to share. Art will be surely missed during the rest of my life. I am grateful to have known him as long as I did. God bless him and may he comfort us with his memories until we meet again.

Arthur was my world and best friend for over 30 years. We shared so much together with countless beautiful memories and there was barley a day we did not speak. He was a treasure to me and one in a million. Words cannot express the loss I feel as I still have a hard time grasping he is in heaven. I keep looking for a sign from you.
My heart is forever broken.

I will miss Arthur more than words can say. None of my holidays will ever be the same because he won't be there. He was a friend and more like a brother to me. He was an uncle to my children and was there for every milestone in their lives. When Arthur left us he took a piece of our hearts with him.
I know he'll be watching over us, especially my kids and Lucas, he loved them as if they were his own. Arthur once said they were the only important things in his life and he treated them that way.
I'm sure he is by God's side because he was a good and loving person. May he rest in peace.
Hey Art, enough about you let's talk about me.

Arthur John Lufrano joined First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hills, NY, in 1969. Our condolences go out to his ex-wife, Robin Mitchell, and his brother, Joseph. A memorial service is being held at our church on Saturday, January 13, at 11 AM.
The Lufranos were a very active family in the church, led by their mother Margaret “Daisy” Lufrano. Joseph continues to hang our Christmas and Easter displays in the sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Hospital would be appreciated.
