Mary MacDonald

Obituary of Mary Irene MacDonald

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mary Irene (Kingston) MacDonald (86) and her sister Phyllis grew up in Bloomfield, NJ.  She and Jay (Joseph) were 50+ year residents of Denville, NJ where they raised 5 children: Dennis, Patrick, Maureen, Sheila and Michael.  Mary loved children, shaping many lives as a preschool teacher and caregiver and delighting her 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mary took pride in her beautiful home, opening its doors to family and friends whom she held close to her heart.  She loved reading, gardening, opera and traveling the world.  Now she is at eternal peace with her husband and son Michael.

The family thanks Sr. Davita, Sr. Servatrix and Arianne for their compassionate care for Mary in her later years.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sister Servatrix’s mission, the Village Angels of Tanzania, or the Ian Cali FOP Fund. Please leave a condolence or share a memory with the family.
