Obituary of Fay Anita Weerth
Fay Anita Weerth, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Morristown Medical Center on Sunday, December 10, 2017.
She was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, to the late Ernest and Esther Lammertz. She proudly served our country in the United States Navy in WWII as part of the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). That is where she met her future husband, the late Frederick Harry Weerth Jr., in 1944. Together they raised their family in New York and later retired to Pennsylvania, where Fay worked as a librarian. When Frederick passed away in 1999, Fay came to New Jersey to be closer to her daughter. While in New York, Fay was a Contract Writer for ABC television. She was a very talented and committed wife, mother, and grandmother that will be sorely missed.
Predeceased by her husband, Frederick, and son, William, she leaves only joyful memories to her daughter, Barbara Ann Kurland and her husband Louis; her cherished grandsons, Michael Kurland and his wife MaryBeth, Robert Kurland and his wife Shelley, Matthew Weerth and his wife Julie, and Russell Weerth and his wife Lyndsay; her treasured great-grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Jillian, and Abigail Kurland, and Leah, Ian, Max, and Alexis Weerth; and many friends.
All Services were private. Please leave a condolence and special memory for her family.
