Obituary of Lois B. Pennington
Lois B. Pennington, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2017. She shared 91 years of love and faith with all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 11:30 am at the Denville Community Church, 190 Diamond Spring Road, Denville. Donations in her memory in lieu of flowers may be made to the good work of the Market Street Mission, Morristown NJ.
Lois was born in Belleville and adopted by the late Ernest and Eileen Black. After her schooling, she attended Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1948. Shortly after she married George Pennington and the couple started a family of their own. Lois was a devoted and loving wife and mother to five. She was an RN for over 40 years, devoting her care and love to so many patients as well. She was a longtime member of the Denville Community Church and a member of the choir and Women’s Circle for many years. She was also an avid square and round dancer. Lois and George traveled to every state (except Nebraska) meeting with other dancers and dance clubs
Predeceased by her husband George; she leaves happy memories to her children Carole J. Marchesani (Thomas), Ellen E. Heck (Leif), Lynn M. Sedlak (Patrick), David F. (Karen) and John M.; grandchildren Brian Marchesani (Christina Coster), Alan De Loach (Jennifer Brengard), Haven Sedlak and Nicholas and Colin Pennington; great grandchildren Kailee, Stewart and Alexander; and many more dear relatives and friends.
