I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin Daniel. From the earliest memories I have of Daniel, to the last time I saw him at my mom's funeral, he was the epitome of kindness and calm. I enjoyed spending time with him.growing up...sometimes on weekends for a sleep over with Diane..sometimes just for Sunday dinner at his family home ..
And all of those times I remember Daniel's sweetness. He was always very gracious and always respectful . Daniel was a steadfast comfort to my mom after my Dad passed and I am so grateful for all the calls he made to her and the flowers and gifts he sent..His heart was so big! Daniel was the sweetest and most gentle soul I have ever known. Daniel touched the lives of those he knew in a unique way
Deepest sympathy to Diane,Joseph and Hal.

Hal and Family, I am sorry for your pain. Daniel was my cousin.Gone from this life but surely not forgotten. I remember visiting my Aunt and Uncle years ago, and Dan was always in his room, studying or reading. He always took the time out to greet me and my brothers and talk to us like we were adults, he never looked down on us even though I am sure we must have been annoying! He was so sweet, kind and full of encouragement. Later on, he was a source of pride for us with all his intellectual accomplishments. Sadly the years passed, and our families drifted away from each other. Daniel sought to fix that and was a comfort to my mother in her final years. She would often say to me he was "a piece of bread" which in my family meant he was priceless, and indeed he was. I am so sorry I did not let him know how much he meant to me in life. May his beautiful soul rest peacefully...

Hal and Dan's family,
I am still shocked about Dan's passing. It's been 5 days since he passed and I still can't believe he is gone. Dan was an amazing man warm, caring, funny, always smiling, laughing, and valued everyone. I have known Dan for over 20 years and feel blessed to have worked with him and enjoyed countless events, trips, and dinner celebrations. I was so happy when he finally decided to retire and get to enjoy spending more time being with family and doing what he loved. He was taken way too soon, I know right now he is making others feel the same way he made all of us feel, loved. He will be deeply missed. My deepest condolences, much love for Dan. Judy

To Hal and Dan's Family,
I was fortunate to have known and worked with Dan for many years. Dan had an incredible passion for life and his work. He cared about his family, friends, co-workers and those in need. I can't believe only a month ago we were together at a beautiful dinner celebrating his retirement. Dan instilled his passion in all of us who knew him. I will always remember him for that. Rest In Peace my friend. Tony Irace

Dear Hal and Dan's Family,
I am so shocked, saddened and just devastated to hear of Dan's loss. It is still so hard to believe. It has been an emotional week in the office but I have to say I'm glad I was in New Jersey when we heard the news so I could be with so many people who loved him.
I've known and worked with Dan for 25+ years. We were kindred spirits, from our Italian heritage, to our love and care of our mothers, to life at ADP, to name a few things we had in common. Not residing in NJ, every time I was in the building where he worked, I always stopped to see him and talk, even if it were for a few mins. We were always so happy to see each other. We commiserated, we listened to each other, and we celebrated our decisions to finally retire. He, end of June 2017, and me, end of June 2018.
I remember many good times we shared, many work events where we sat together, at dinner events and parties, the dinner cruise we went on in Chicago at a trainer's conference where we danced and had so much fun. We laughed all the time, sometimes so hard that tears would run down my face. He was so fun loving, so fun to be around, so selfless, always thinking of others, so caring. He was also brilliant. He knew his craft, he was an expert in adult learning and curriculum design. He knew the business, and he worked so hard. He put his all into leading his team and accomplishing every task he was responsible for. He was an awesome people leader. I don't know one person who worked for him that didn't love him as a manager and feel supported and respected at work.
I wish he had an opportunity to enjoy his retirement, he so deserved it, but God had other plans. He called an angel home. I will always be thankful for the time we had with him, because i know he had a positive impact on everyone he interacted with. I know he did with me. We are all better for having known him.
My prayers, thoughts, and love are with all of you at this time of terrible loss. <3 May he rest in peace, and watch over his loved ones.
Love and Prayers,
Jeanne Erra

Dear Hal and Dan's Family,
Emerson's definition of success must have been written knowing there would be a "Dan DiNubila" in the world.
Last night, I shared with my friends, what Dan mean to me and our ADP family. I share them now with you.
"I reflected on Dan's legacy he left us. He led with passion and compassion. He treated everyone (from Receptionists to Executives) with dignity. He encouraged differing opinions with healthy discussions. He gave to and helped those less fortunate. He offered advise without judgement. He showed us how people matter. He made us laugh. Rest in peace my dear friend knowing you mad us better people and the world a better place. #InOurHeartsForever"
I loved Dan with all my heart. Today, I hold you and your families in my heart and in my prayers.
Lovingly,
Anne Henson

Every time I think of Dan I see his wonderful smile. He always lifted my spirits when I worked at ADP, and he was such a learned man; former professor. A wonderful sense of humor. Harold, I grieve with you for your loss.
