Obituary of Amelia Cacella
Amelia Cacella passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017. She shared 92 years of love and faith with all who knew her. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, July 6th from 4-7 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:30 that evening. Donations in her name may be made to the good work of St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital.
Amelia was born in Pittsburgh, Pa to the late Mauro and Viola DiLonardo. After high school, she married her sweetheart Louis Cacella and the couple settled down and started a family of their own. Amelia was a working Mom with over 30 years at Equibank in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed the work and her customers and friends she made along the way. In 1990 she and her husband relocated to Blue Bell Pa. for some years and in 2001 settled in Denville to be closer to the family. Amelia loved this time as she was able to see more of her grandsons and her two great grandchildren! She loved to watch the kids grow and brag about her boys to anyone who would listen. She was a loving wife to Louis for 63 years and has missed him since his passing in 2012. We are comforted in knowing they are together again, watching over us all.
She leaves happy memories to her son and daughter in law Dan and Judy Cacella; her grandsons Josh, Kris (Michelle) and Anthony Cacella; great grandchildren Gianna and Gino; niece and nephew Vanita Charki and Ray Cillo and many more dear friends and caretakers. Her husband Lou and sister Rosella Cillo passed previously.
