Margaret G. Arci, “Peg”, passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Thursday, June 29, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, Montville.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Peg was born in Newark to the late Joseph and Mildred Gorman. After her schooling she married Edward A. Arci.  The couple settled in Boonton while their home in Pine Brook was being built.  This is the home they would raise their children in.  Peg was an amazing Mom and homemaker.  She always put the needs of her family first and worked hard to give them a beautiful life.

Along with her husband, she owned Arci’s Bakery and Deli in Boonton for many years.  It really was a family effort. The Arci kids were always at the store, and Mom & Dad were instilling the values of hard work and family.

Peg loved the family trips to Cape Cod each year and relaxing by the water.  She enjoyed hosting big parties and barbeques and being surrounded by all of the grand kids.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She would brag about them to whoever would listen and she loved watching them grow.  She was excited to be at every recital, sporting event and concert.  These never got old for Gran! In her later years, she has become the Great Grandma to many and adored each little one.   This family Matriarch has given us much to celebrate and memories to last a lifetime.

Predeceased by her husband Edward A. Arci, her beloved children Peg Valletta and Richard Arci, and her brothers Joseph and Robert; she leaves happy memories to her children Patricia Arci and Edward Arci; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren ( and two on the way!); and many more loving friends and relatives.
