Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

"Where there is darkness, there once was light."

Charles E. Stanfield Jr., passed away on May 18, 2017. Although our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for his sensitivity and the beauty of this world that he shared with us. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, in Denville. Interment to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Friends and relatives may visit at the Norman Dean Home for Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. that morning. Please share your memories here. Charlie’s family will cherish them forever.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 30, 1961 Charlie was the oldest of five children to Charles Edward and Barbara Anne Cox Stanfield. The family moved to Matawan, New Jersey, when Charlie was three years old, he had very fond memories of their time there. At 10 years of age the family moved to Warren, New Jersey where he spent the remainder of his childhood. He loved Warren, but Matawan always held a special place in his heart.

He loved kayaking and found every opportunity to get on the water. Three out of four seasons, you could find him heading to Round Valley to take in the wonder of it all and expand his incredible photograph collection. He was a talented photographer and had a knack of capturing beauty everywhere he went.

Charlie joins his parents Charles and Barbara, his siblings Carol and Billy and his Grandparents that he loved dearly. We take comfort in knowing that the love that has always bound them, has been rejoined. He leaves loving memories to his brother Robert Stanfield, his sister Linda Stanfield Hartman, his nieces Chelsea and Lele and nephew Andy; and many more dear relatives and friends.

"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort your tomorrow."
