Obituary of Patricia VanBuskirk
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others..”
-Audrey Hepburn
Patricia VanBuskirk passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May10th. She was 76 years young and has given us much to celebrate this Mothers Day. She was an amazing Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 17th at 10:30 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit on Tuesday, May 16th from 4-8 pm. Donations in her name may be made to the good work of the Town of Boonton PBA 212 by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
Born in the Bronx, Pat settled in Rockaway when her children were small. She soon started working at Two Guys in the fabric department. She made good friends and lasting relationships there through the years. Many fond memories surround this time. In 1977 she moved to the Indian Lake section of Denville and has enjoyed her time in this community. She worked hard as a single Mom, always putting her children first and providing them with all they could want and need. Pat was a strong and generous woman, sometimes stubborn but always loving. She was beautiful on the inside and out and generous with her time and affection. She has worked for almost 20 years as the Secretary to the Chief of Police in the Town of Boonton, a job which she enjoyed everyday. Above all, Pat loved her family. She was the proud Grandma of ten and Great Granddma to four little ones. She loved to share in their joys and brag of their accomplishments. This family Matriarch will be sorely missed.
She leaves happy memories to her children William (Karen), Kim Ann Clackner (Jared), Robert (Danielle), Janet Trasente (Michael), her adoring grandchildren Adam and Autumn VanBuskirk, Amy and Patrick Clackner, Dillon Feldman, Olivia and Joseph VanBuskirk and Nicole, Michael and Michelle Trasente; her four great grandchildren Christian, Anthony and Bella Sophia Figueroa, Vincent Alexander Hatziemanouel; her dear siblings Joanne Lowell, Jeffrey Lowell (Beverly) and Joseph Lowell (Ann); nephews and niece Christopher, Dana and Benjamin and many more dear friends, relatives and colleagues.
“Just put on a little lipstick, everything will be okay.”
