Obituary of Walter E. Cole

Walter E. Cole Jr. passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ on May 10, 2017, at the age of 79. Born in Beckley, WV, he had lived in both Boonton and Denville before moving to Whippany, NJ 20+ years ago. Walter worked for the Union Local #68 as a boiler operator for many years at S.B. Penick, Foster Wheeler and St. Barnabas Hospital before retiring in 2007. There were many things Walter enjoyed, such as bowling, casino trips, traveling the US & to Aruba, and Europe, but most of all he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Walter is survived by his loving children Andrea & Bobby Gantert, and Michael & Jayne Cole. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler, Emma, Rob and Logan, as well as his siblings Frances Giletto and Thomas & Lisa Cole. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2017, at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834. Interment services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton, NJ. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday May 15, from 3-7PM.
