Obituary of Larry Leroy Melick

Larry Leroy Melick, of Denville, passed away after a long illness on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Merry Heart of Boonton, surrounded by family and friends. He was 74 years old.
The only child born to Oscar and Carolyn Melick, Larry had been a longtime resident of Bloomsburg, PA. He graduated Bloomsburg High School in 1959. He then went on to graduate from Bloomsburg (College) University ultimately earning his Master’s Degree from Montclair State (College) University. He moved to Denville in 1974. Retiring in 2000, Larry was a very accomplished teacher of Math and Computer Science in Madison Junior School in Madison, NJ for 38.5 years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Stephanie Melick; his son Scott Melick and his wife Jennifer; his daughter Amy Maccharelli and her husband Joseph; his grandchildren, Leah and Kylie Maccharelli and Justin Melick.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3rd from 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Memorial Donations can be made in his memory to Victory Junction by way of https://victoryjunction.org/give-in-tribute/.
