I am very sad to hear of Capt. Stanfield's passing, but am glad to know he was surrounded by his family and at peace; this is a blessing!!! I have missed him since he retired!! Capt. Stanfield always had a smile on his face and made me laugh with his stories; always the gentleman and I was forever teasing him about forgetting his hat; gloves or something behind when he left the office!! My deepest sympathy goes out to his family!! Capt. Stanfield to you; I wish you peace & love in your next journey!!
Sincerely ,
Abigail Blue

It was my honor and pleasure to work for Captain Stanfield as secretary for the Sandy Hook Pilots. He always brought a smile to everyone who he came in contact with and it was a pleasure to see him come into the office. He and his lovely wife Barbara were very special people who I always enjoyed seeing at Retired Pilot events. Please accept my deepest condolences on his passing.

My condolences to the family. I was an apprentice and pilot with Charlie, as he was known to us, and fondly recall him as a good shipmate and friend. May he rest in peace. AJR
