Obituary of Stephen W. Henry (Bertram)
Please share a memory of Stephen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
“They say I must be one of the wonders of God’s own creation..”
-Natalie Merchant
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Stephen Henry. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4th following a brief illness. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 7th at 1 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Friends and relatives may visit on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the good work of the Arc of Morris County by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
Stephen was an exceptional spirit who touched many lives. He lived in Flanders with some of his best friends since 2001. Before then, he resided in the North Jersey Development Center. He enjoyed being a part of the Arc community in Flanders where he worked hard. In his spare time, he loved to play with dominoes and be with friends and family. He so enjoyed a cold diet coke and his pinwheel, which he has had since he was a little boy. Every Sunday morning Stephen and his Mom headed to McDonald’s for breakfast. He would order his usual- two bacon egg and cheese bagels with raw onions and two hash browns. These times were and always will be cherished. His intense and profound life drew many in with friendships and wonder. Stephen was an amazing son, brother and uncle. Stephen’s perfect soul now shines down on his family and friends and his beautiful heart will remain with us forever.
He leaves wonderful memories to his Mom and Dad Stephanie and Michael Bertram; brother Richard (Andrea) Henry, sister Renee Davis; nephews Dan, Tom and Alex, niece Stephanie; and many more loving relatives and friends.
