Obituary of John George Georgiades

John George Georgiades passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ on November 11, 2016. He was 73 years old. Born and raised in Campbell, OH, he had lived in Springfield, MO before moving to Dover, NJ 33 years ago. John received his Bachelor's degree from Evangel University in Springfield, MO, his Master's degree from Kean College in Union, NJ and his Doctorate in educational theory from Rutgers University. He worked as a professor, Counselor and Advisor at Bergen County Community College in Paramus, NJ for 46 years before retiring in 2016. John loved to play golf and he was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Julie (Chakeres) Georgiades of Dover, NJ and his loving son and daughter in law George & Juliana Georgiades of Springfield, MO, as well as his grandsons John and Nico Georgiades. His brother in law William & Gemma of Easton, PA and their children Krissi and daughter Joelle, Janette & Gianni and their daughters Sage and Chloe, Sister in law Catherine & Bud Lane of Clayton, NC and their daughter Melissa and her children Tyler and Spencer, brother in law Tom & Doris Chakeres of Brick, NJ and their children Cheryl and her daughters Lexie & Sophia, John, Kristyn & Ron and their daughters Sienah and Gabriella. Funeral service will be held at Assembly of God Church 113 East Mains St. Rockaway, NJ 07866, on Tuesday November 15, 2016, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery 168 North Sussex St. Dover, NJ 07801.
