Born in Staten Island to Charles and Joan, Jim was 1 of 4 children. He married Debra Totten and the couple settled in NJ and started a family. Jim was an avid fisherman and enjoyed crabbing. He loved spending time on the water, especially at White Heron Lake with his Dad. Music and family moved Jim and he surrounded himself with both. His collection of artists and music was varied and massive. He will be missed beyond words and his family will certainly keep his spirit alive always.
Predeceased by his father Charles J. Gerhard; he is survived by his wife Debra of 34 years, his adored daughter Megan Gerhard, his mother Joan Costigan; siblings Janet Voorhees (Flip), John (Theresa) and Charles (Elizabeth); his 14 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews and many more loving relatives, dear friends and acquaintances.
