Obituary of Delores Rose Whaley

Delores R. Whaley (Barbano) of Rockaway Twp., NJ passed away at her home on September 16, 2016, at the age 67.
Born in New Brunswick, she had lived in Germany for a year after marrying her husband in 1968, whom she met on the beach in Asbury Park in 1967 while he was stationed at Fort Monmouth, NJ. She then moved back to NJ for 5 years before moving to Michigan for another 5 years, and then back to New Brunswick for 40 years before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ last year.
She worked as a banker for Wells Fargo in North Brunswick for 35 years and enjoyed sanding, painting, and firing ceramics, as well as cooking, especially for her "Back porch Parties".
Delores is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert "Tom" Whaley of Rockaway Twp., NJ. She is also survived by her loving sons Brian Whaley of Morristown, and Jason Whaley of Plainsboro, NJ. Her grandchildren Brittany, Robert, Ethan, Lily, Devon, Michael, Tyler, John and Nicholas. Her sister Donna Barbano of Long Beach, CA also survives her.
Visitation will be held Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 on Wednesday September 21, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A funeral service will take place Wednesday evening at 8:15PM.
