“All that I Am Or Hope To Be, I Owe To My Mother.” Mary Ferrentino passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Spring Village At Pocono in East Stroudsburg , Pa. She was 91 years young. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 29th at 10 am at St. Marys Church, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit with her family on Sunday, August 28th from 2-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Mary was born in the Bronx to the late Louis and Antonette Verdino. After her schooling , she married Peter Ferrentino and the couple made a home on Arthur Ave and started their family. A few years later, they moved to the suburbs of Denville, NJ. Mary was a loving wife, an amazing Mom and became the best Gram as her family grew. She was the proudest mother to her three children and a doting Grandma. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Marys Church and enjoyed the community here. After selling their home in Denville, Pete and Mary built a home in LBI, then later moved to Fox Hills. She enjoyed her time at the beach and the friendships she made at both homes. Most recently, she has resided in Pa where she was able to be close to her sister in her last years. Mary’s family was her world. She has left a legacy of love and devotion to family that will be carried on through her children, grand and great grands, including the ones who are to arrive soon! Predeceased by her husband Peter, sister Phyllis Zannella, son in law William McDonough and her beloved canine Toga; she leaves beautiful memories to her children JamieWindt (Kenneth), Karen McDonough, and Bruce Ferrentino (Kathy); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many more loving relatives, dear friends and caretakers.
