Obituary of Christopher Michael Walsh

Christopher Michael Walsh has left this world a better place. He passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19th, surrounded by his family and friends whom he loved dearly. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24th at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 63 E. Main St. Rockaway. Friends, fans and relatives may visit on Tuesday, August 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Donations in his name may be made to the good work of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org Born and raised in Hartsdale, NY, Chris settled in Rockaway Township over 20 years ago with his wife Suzanne. He worked as a facilities manager in New York, a job which he really has enjoyed. Chris was a funny guy. A guy with a larger than life personality- one that could be-friend anyone. He worked hard and expected things to be done right always. He was deliberate with his advice and never sat still. His greatest joys in this world were his three children. He was so very proud of them all and reveled in their accomplishments. He loved watching them on the athletic fields and being a part of their days. Chris was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He always put everyone’s needs and wants above his own. His entire family’s well being and happiness was his top priority. He will be missed greatly and will live on in the hearts of all the people who had the pleasure of knowing him. Predeceased by his father Robert Walsh; he leaves only wonderful memories to his devoted wife Suzanne (nee De Rosa) of 30 years; his awesome boys Thomas and Daniel; his adoring daughter Sarah; loving Mom Mary Louise Walsh; siblings Susan Walsh (John Collins), Ann Marie Wong (Alan), Janet Foltin (Mike), Michael, Kathleen McDonald (Sean); nephews and nieces Brian, Ryan, Megan, Alexis, Anthony,Tanya, Nicholas and Stacy and many more dear relatives and friends.
