Obituary of Arlene Melone
Please share a memory of Arlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arlene Melone passed away suddenly at her home in Lakewood Township on Friday, April 29, 2016. She was 86 years young.
Arlene was a world traveler. An independent woman, she was always ready for an adventure, whether it was with a group of family or friends, or all by herself. She loved to play games, croche and knit. All of her family members have something knitted by her. She even made Afghan’s for the cancer patients at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. Her favorite thing to make was Easter Bonnets. At age 86, she attended concerts of her favorite group Hall & Oates & Cindi Lauper. Her absolute most favorite thing to do was go to Atlantic city where she enjoyed the slots, many shows and wonderful restaurants. She was an incredible woman who will truly be missed.
Daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Melone, her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of many of her surviving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 7th at Madonna Church on the Hill, 2070 Hoefleys Lane, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. Burial will follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. Memorial Donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please leave a condolence for her family.
