Tom and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My dad, Bill Hosking was a good friend of your dad's and your Grandfather's. I remember as a youngster, going to your farm with my dad to visit. Your father was a great person and did so much for the Valley Cemetery. Condolences, Love and prayers to your family. Another Angel watching over us.

I am so terribly sorry about your loss. I met Charlie the first time many, many years ago when I moved into my home across the cemetary. He was great to talk to and had so many stories about my house and the former owners. I missed seeing him and his red hat when he stopped coming to the cemetary on a regular basis. RIP Charlie and thank you for all your stories, you were a very nice person.

Much sympathy to the family. Charlie was so nice and helpful to us at the Rockaway Valley Cemetery. He gave us a Hillside Farm Ice & Wood card, "Barn Dance Every Saturday Night," which we still have. Rest in peace. We were glad to know him. The Stiles Family, Boonton Township

I fondly remember Charlie and his Willys jeep and the many soup and sandwich lunches I shared with the Marshall family. You were all so kind to me. And I will never forget Charlie's saying "Life is what you make it!" Wise advice. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. Carolyn

I remember Charlie coming to the Red Barn quite often. We laughed and joked around. We shared our birthdays as they were in the same week. I gave him a singing card that he would bring in every year at our birthday time. And who could forget that big red hat- he often left it and would have to come back and get it. He was such a warm guy and we just often laughed a lot when he came in . RIP Charlie!!!

Charlie will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Our moving to Boonton Township almost 44 years ago to a big piece of property was an adventure for us. We don't know what we would have done without Charlie's help and expertise regarding our property, tools and equipment. He was always there for us to offer his help, friendship, witty humor and stories. We got such a kick out of him! Charlie was certainly one of a kind. Our memories of him are so wonderful and just thinking about him makes us smile. He will be truly missed. Our love and deepest sympathy to you Mary, Tom and Donna. May God bless and comfort you at this sad time.

My most heart-felt condolences to your family over the loss Charlie.
I had mentioned to Donna, my astro-friend, there is a newly-found planet or planetary system OUTSIDE our own solar system, yet within our galaxy. Officially known as
KOI 703.1 (Kepler Object of Interest). This refers to the NASA Space Telescope probe of which I was associated as an astronomer. Indeed, it was I and my team of 20 whom "discovered" KOI 703.1. I, therefore, think it is my personal right to provide a "personal" name to the planet...at least to you and myself...."Planet Charlie".
"Planet Charlie" is within the Northern Constellation of Cygnus the Swan- a Summer constellation. It is also very "close" to the lovely star of Vega, which is actually part of the constellation of Lyrae- the Harp. How appropriate.
May "Planet Charlie" be forever a place of solice, understanding, tolerance and forgiveness to all.
