I am saddened to learn of the passing of my beautiful and cherished former co-worker Dr. Gert. I worked at BCBSNJ for 11 years then moved out of state in August of 2006. The lessons of life is what she graciously bestowed upon me. I am forever grateful for being blessed to have had Dr. Gert be a part of my life. I was sharing some of her wisdom with my children this past weekend and decided to go on line and try to find some contact info on her... What a phenomenal spirit she carried with her and love for all. I truly will miss her and thankful for the wisdom she imparted with me. Much love to her remaining family always, she was a unique blessing for anyone whose path she crossed... lovingly and respectfully submitted, barbara-jean mobley

My deepest condolences. I sat next to Gertrude at Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield (1996 -1999). She was the most knowledgeable and kind person. Everyone from many departments would go to Gertrude as THE authority from claims, benefits, medical review cases, and even high level directors. I learned so much from her and was hoping when I went in on Monday for an interview that maybe by some chance I'd be able to bump into her there to say hello. Gertrude was an amazing woman. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jamie's mother Kathy kept me posted, and has had me praying for your mom and all of you during her long and valiant battle. Without a doubt David she is having the kind of day we cannot even begin to imagine! Dr.Gertie was a member of our Cooperative Housing Society in Bandra and we lived just above her dispensary on the first floor. She was an unassuming person and cared for her patients. Our young children in their growing years were treated by her with professional care.
