I thought about Justine today and realized how much of an impact she has had on my life... 20 years after leaving her second grade classroom, my favorite school age book is stil Mr. Popper’s Penguins, which she read to our class and I bought at the book fair that year. That was when I fell in love with penguins, and thatbpassion has shaped so many choices and moments of joy since.
I’m sad to find that Justine has passed before I could tell her how much that has meant to me all these years. She was a special woman, and a hugely impactful teacher. I am so thankful to have been her student.

My memories of "Mrs Tucker" are from my little girl days and having my very first sleepovers at my very first friend's house. My friend is Lianne. Mrs Tucker was a concerned and protective parent and she was never afraid to be the parent. She loved her children unconditionally and was always looking out for their best interests. She raised 3 wonderful people who are all assets to their families and communities. Justine was a member of the "Greatest Generation". They were strong, firm, trustworthy and they led by example. It is difficult to understand how we will continue without the leadership of the "Greats". But continue, we must. We must carry on with what Justine and the other Greats taught us. She will be missed and my heart goes out to Roy & Lianne & Steve. No words can heal the pain that you feel at the loss of your mom. Please know that so many of us have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Mom,
I have come to realize the significance of simplicity, understatement, and the beauty of being true to oneself. You, mom, have taught me that the truest of love and memory lies within the heart. There isnt a photograph or "liked" moment that would alter my greatest memories.
I will forever hold on to your strengths and words of wisdom.
I love you,
Li.

Mimi, such a kind hearted woman. Every time I would go over to swim with my sisters she would always sit and watch us all and grade us on how good our jumps were. Those were the best days of summer by far. God gained another special angel. I love you Mimi.

I am heart broken at the loss of Justine.. Justine always wanted everyone to have a good time and would always invite me and the girls over to swim. She would hang with us for a while around the pool until she had enough and then would take her book and go inside. It was then that I would go use the bathroom and wind up sitting at the kitchen table with Mimi, just the two of us, talking about everything and anything, I cherish those times with her. Justine was very straightforward, you knew if she liked you or not...I know she liked me and that made me feel special. My heart goes out to her family especially Lianne who was always there for her parents.Knowing that MimI and Boo Boo are finally together again makes the pain a little more bearable. Rest easy Justine XO Love Darlene

“Small, But Oh My” were the words used to describe Justine in her high school year book. I don’t know why I still remember that, because I was only about 12 at the time, but the words rang true through all of Justine’s life. Although small in stature, she always “thought big." She was a wonderful wife, raised a beautiful family, and treasured her grandchildren. And she didn’t stop at that—she went back to college, and followed her dream to a teaching career. Oh My, I will miss my “big sister” more than anyone can know. Although we were miles apart, our hearts were always connected. May the Lord bless you and keep you, Justine . Love, Jeanne

Dear Markus and Tucker Family,
My sympathies to all of you in the loss of someone so loved!
Justine and I taught for many years together at Hope Township School. I truly feel so lucky and blessed to have had the opportunity to work with her and to call her my friend.
I will carry many fond memories of Justine..........I will remember how she always spoke so highly of her family and how proud she was of each and every one of you.
I will remember the many times she would make me laugh and I would have to hold back tears so we would not get into trouble. I will remember the light kicks under the table to get my attention to share a thought or a joke. Whenever I hear keys jingling, I will remember Justine's keys jingling to let someone know our meeting should be over. I will remember her encouraging words to me when times became tough and helping me in any way to make my job easier. I will remember our mutual love of books and reading. For these and many more memories, I am grateful for knowing such a wonderful woman!
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
Fondly,
Tammy Green

You will be missed by so many!! You were a very special teacher and mentor to so many of your students. One of my favorite memories was Christmas caroling at her house last year with a group of her former students. When I told my son and daughter about what we wanted to do for her they made some phone calls and gathered a group of former classmates that were more than excited to do this for her. May you rest in peace❤️

My deepest sympathys to the family. I will never forget the day Justine invited me into her home and took the time to share some of her doll collection to me. Being a fellow lover of dolls I greatly appreciated her hospitality, her time, her knowledge and her obvious pure enjoyment in her beautiful collection. But most of all I am so thankful to her for her Daughter Lianne whom i consider a dear precious friend. I have never known such a devoted daughter to both her parents. The person Lianne is speaks volumes of who her parents were. again so sorry for your familys loss. Lori
