Obituary of Gerald Rosevear
Please share a memory of Gerald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gerald Rosevear, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 22nd. He was 78 years young. A Funeral Service, concluding with military honors will be held on Monday, October 26th at 11 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville. Friends, fans and relatives may visit with his family on Sunday, October 25th from 2-6 pm.
Born in 1937, Gerald was one of nine children. After his schooling, he proudly served his country in the US Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he settled in Denville with his wife Rosemarie and the couple started their family. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge 2109, Lake Hopatcong, where he donated much of his time to the community. Above all, he loved being with his family; especially his grandchildren and two great grandsons. As you can imagine, the little ones were a source of great joy during these last few years. Jerry was kind, generous, and possessed an enthusiastic spirit which has not left us. He will be missed immeasurably, but will never be forgotten.
Predeceased by seven of his siblings; he leaves only happy memories to his wife Rosemarie of 50 years; daughters Debra Martin (Ronald) and Elizabeth Pelley (John); grandchildren Jeffrey Martin (Erin), Timothy Martin (Abigail), Jacquelyn Olsen (David) and Gregory and Kevin Pelley; great grandsons Cameron Martin and Brody Martin; sister Lorraine Smith; and many more loving relatives and friends.
