Obituary of William T. Harrington

William T. Harrington, 79, died on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.
He was born in Newark and lived in the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway for over 47 years.
Bill was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 715, out of Cranford, and he worked as a Scaffold Foreman for Safety Scaffold, Inc. in Branchville, NJ for 50 years.
As a young boy Bill achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and in his later years had served as a Boy Scout Leader in Rockaway. He had also been an active member of the Lake Telemark Community Club, the Marcella Community Center, the Sons of Norway, Nor-Bu Lodge #427 and the Irish American Club of North West Jersey all in Rockaway.
His mother Bridget Harrington died October 29, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Rosemary E. nee Cahill, his children Kathleen (Scott) Lee of Windsor, MA, Billy J. Harrington of Rockaway, Colleen Harrington of Sparta, Sean Harrington (Dave Goodermote) of Orlando, FL, Timothy G. Harrington of Rockaway and Maureen (Michael) Drummey of West Halifax, VT. and his grandchildren Kaitlyn Lee, Kristen Lee, Bryan Byrne, Casey Byrne, Justin Harrington, Cameron Harrington, Lane Drummey, Thomas Drummey and William Drummey.
He is also survived by Fr. Michael Drury of Long Valley, NJ, Walter Drury of Verona, Joseph Drury of Denville, Robert Drury of Flanders and Sheila Grau of Cranford.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ on Saturday September 5, 2015 at 8:30 AM for a 10:00 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecilia's Church in Rockaway, NJ. Followed by burial in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Please share a memory of Bill on our web site www.normandean.com.
