Alison Ober, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years young. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, August 30th from 4-8 pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to the good work of The Memorial Fund of the UMC of Mt. Tabor, PO Box 29, Mt. Tabor NJ 07878. Please share memories with her family at www.normandean.com. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday Sept.27, 2015 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Alison was born in East Orange, later moving to Livingston and then Parsippany. She settled in Mt. Tabor with her husband over 50 years ago. Active with the UMC of Mt. Tabor; she donated her time as a Sunday school teacher and served as President of the UMW, trustee for the church and treasurer of the Memorial Fund. She was active with the Monday Morning Quilters, volunteered at Morristown Medical Center and with Parsippany recreation. She also served as a Brownie & Girl Scout Leader, on the Mt. Tabor Childrens’ Day Committees and was an avid bowler. Her most important roles were as Wife, Mom and Grama. Her family was her world and she loved being with them. She was an amazing homemaker and Mother; kind and generous and cheerful. She possessed a beautiful spirit that has not left us. She leaves only happy memories to her husband David of 53 years; children David Jr. (Terry) of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Dawn Zinckgraf (Michael) of Parsippany, NJ, Tina Cochran (Mike) of Parsippany, NJ and Wendy Dagner (Lester) of Springfield, NJ; adoring grandchildren Michael, Marissa, Dominique, Brandon, Devon, Jessica, Nicole and Kolby; dear sister Wendy Milligan (Scott) of Fl., brother William Lloyd (Lynn) of Fl.; and many more loving relatives, friends and acquaintances.
