Obituary of Penelope Ann Marucci
Please share a memory of Penelope to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Penelope Marucci (née Reinig) died in Hackettstown, New Jersey on June 19, 2015. She was 67 years old.
Ms. Marucci was born on July 12, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Elementary Education. She married Leonard Marucci in 1970. The couple and their four children moved to Denville, NJ in 1981, where they raised their family and remained until 2002.
Penny was a gifted crafter with an incredible talent for sewing. She loved to cook, travel and read. Being a mother meant the world to her and there was nothing that made her more proud than raising her children.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony (Tony) and Daniel and her daughters, Cathleen and Christine. She also leaves behind Leonard, as well as their 6 grandchildren, and her brother Douglas Reinig of Wyoming. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Barnes Reinig on September 11, 2001.
A viewing will take place at Norman Dean on Wednesday evening, June 24 from 7-9pm. She will be cremated thereafter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.nami.org).
