William P. Condon, better known to his friends as Bill, passed away at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City on May 28, 2015. He was 67 years old. Bill was diagnosed with mesothelioma in June of 2013. Born in Morristown on November 16th, 1947, he grew up in Whippany, New Jersey and moved to Hopatcong, NJ in 1979. Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany, where his wife Debbie joined him. He worked for Fritz and Sons from the early 1970's through the mid 1980's. He then owned and operated William's Heating and Cooling in Hopatcong until the time of his death. Bill was an avid car collector and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on his boat on Lake Hopatcong. He took pleasure in going for Sunday drives and dining out with his wife. Bill was known among family and friends to be very generous and helpful. He had many friends throughout the northern NJ area that he visited with often. He was truly a lover of life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Debbie (Baldwin) Condon of Hopatcong and his loving daughters Jennifer Condon of Flagstaff, AZ and Shannon Condon, also of Hopatcong. He will also be deeply missed by the family cat, Dixie, who was lovingly by his side throughout his illness. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Smith and her husband Robert of New Smyrna Beach, FL, brother Richard Condon of Whippany, and sister Patricia Quadrel of Morris Plains. He was preceded in death by his father Robert V. Condon, his mother Helen Murray, and his brother Robert V. Condon, Jr. A memorial visitation will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ 07834 on Saturday June 6, 2015, from 4-8PM.
