Obituary of Alice W. Thunberg

Alice W. Thunberg (nee Eriksen) passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27th at the Merry Heart of Boonton TWP Nursing Home. She was 93. Alice was born in Caldwell, NJ and was a proud graduate of Caldwell High School. She was married to the late Myron N. Thunberg for 66 years, and had lived in Boonton TWP for 58 years before her stay in Merry Heart. Alice was employed by the Charlton Oil Co. in Boonton. She was very active in community affairs including the Rockaway Valley Garden Club and the Boonton TWP Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She was a long time active member of the Denville Community United Methodist Church where she was a founding member of the Priscilla Quilters and a Circle Leader.
Alice is survived by her son Mark Thunberg, and granddaughters Alisson Ponce of Houston Texas and Adrienne Perez of Morris TWP, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 18th at the Denville Community Methodist Church, 190 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, NJ, 07834.
