Obituary of David W. Pierce Jr.

David W. Pierce Jr., 98, died on Sat. Feb. 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Mt. Lakes, NJ. Dave served in the US Marine Corp during WWII. He and his wife Winifred Brennan married in 1942 and moved to Denville in 1954 where Dave became a real estate salesman and raised his family. He had also been active in the Denville Rotary Club, and upon retiring from Frank Hill Real Estate in Denville he and Winifred moved to Charlotte, NC in 1980. They later settled in Greenville, SC. Their Daughter Cynthia Lattig died in 1987 and his brother Maxwell Pierce of Boonton who died in 1972. David is survived by his wife of 73 years Winifred E. and his children David of Greenville, SC and Carol Pierce-Feith of Wharton, NJ. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Stephen and Beth Feith of Johnsonville, NY, David Pierce-Feith of New Orleans, LA and Deidre and James Jensen of Boonton, as well his four great grandchildren, Laurel and Ryan Feith and Ryleigh and Jamie Jensen. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held on Sat. May 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church in Denville. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to the Mass.
