Obituary of Mary Spinola
Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On the evening of February 26, as her daughter held her hand reminding her of the glory of Heaven, Mary Spinola entered the Kingdom of God peacefully. Now she has been reunited with her loved ones who predeceased her: her parents, Francesco and Matilda Blasi, her sister Connie Passero, her brother Michael Blasi, and her dear husband of 63 years, Angelo ("Spinny").
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Mary worked for many years in the payroll department of Tung-Sol in Newark upon graduating from Central High School. A Denville resident since 1959, Mary prided herself as being a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Her entire life revolved around caring for her family and helping others. Her radiant smile, sharp sense of humor, kindness to all, and genuine unselfishness made her a special person who will be missed by those whose lives she touched, especially her best friend and daughter, Judith.
Many thanks to the fourth floor CNA'S at Franciscan Oaks Health Center. Special thanks to her angels – Julibell, Lavern, Lunia, Lurline, and Verona – who treated Mary with kindness, tender care, love, respect, and expertise every day and made her final days peaceful. They are truly the "heart and soul" of this facility.
