Obituary of Joseph James O'Reilly

Joseph James O'Reilly, 72, died on Wednesday April 12, 2006 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital at Dover, NJ.

Mr. O'Reilly was born in Dublin, Ireland and came to the United States in 1954; he served in the United States Army from February 1956 Feb 1958 attaining the rank of PFC. He was a resident of Kearny, NJ Denville, NJ Byram, NJ and the last year in Rockaway Twp., NJ. He was employed at Congolium Co., Kearny, NJ as a Senior Lab Technician I the Research Dept., at General Stamping Co, Denville, NJ in the Quality Control Dept., and at Weiss Aug Co. East Hanover, NJ as a Technician in Quality Control. Mr. O'Reilly was a member of the Irish American Club in Wharton, a member of the Fenian Society. Mr. O'Reilly was an expert in wood crafting the Celtic Cross.

Mr. O'Reilly was the Beloved husband of Charlotte (Nee Collins) OReilly, devoted father of Christina Malwitz of Rockaway Twp, Linda Byrne of Randolph, Kevin Barry OReilly of Bound Brook, and Thomas Patrick OReilly of Byram. Grandfather of Owen, Karen, Sean, Eileen, and Ryan Byrne, Katherine Malwitz, Erin, Liam, Katelin, Emma, and Aidan OReilly. Brother of Edward OReilly and Patrick OReilly both of Dublin, Ireland, Kevin O'Reilly of Australia, Annie Doyle of Parsippany, Kathleen White and Marie Ogden both of England

Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Saturday April 15th at 7:30a.m. For a Funeral Rite at 9:00a.m. At St. Cecilias Church Rockaway, NJ. Interment Denville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday April 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
