Please share a memory of Kimberly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kimberly A. Douglas (Kimmerr)

Kim, Kimmie, or Kimmer, as many knew her, passed away on November 22, 2024, at her home in Denville, New Jersey, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Elmira, NY, the beloved daughter of Kenneth and Marlene Douglas.

Kim spent many years as a nanny in Massachusetts and New Jersey, where she loved to teach and entertain children. Always a kid at heart, her nurturing spirit shone through in everything she did.

Kim took great pride in her work at Artistic Fence, where she was passionate about her projects. She also had a love for woodworking, often sharing her creations with family and friends. As a proud member of the Lake Hopatcong Elks #782, Kim actively participated in committees and helped with the weekly dinners, whose proceeds support local charities. She was a vital part of the Rainbow Lakes community, considering its members her extended family, notably Kristin and Kevin Murphy, Anastasia Kennedy, and Dottie Smith.

Kim had a unique ability to bring people together, building lasting relationships among those who might never have otherwise crossed paths. Her father, Kenneth Douglas, preceded her in death. Kim is survived by her mother, Marlene; her sisters: Marcia (James) King, with their children, Brandon King, and Justin (Kelsey) King; and Laura (Omar) Six, with their children Matthew (Kristin) Griffin, Megan (Damon) Price, and Kara Six (Conner) Smith. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Kim will be held in Denville at a later date. If you would like to continue Kim's memory in your own way, please consider making a charitable contribution to the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge. Memorial Donations can be made via inmemof.org.
