Obituary of Gerard Joseph Kohler
Gerard Joseph Kohler passed peacefully at the age of 91 on August, 9th 2024. He lived a long and beautiful life.
Born in Paterson, NJ, and later moved to Denville, NJ. Gerard served in the United States Army, and later become a United States postal worker for 32 years. He was a man who loved to stay busy, many fellow Denville citizens would find him in his garden, walking through Indian lake daily with his wife, or at Saint Mary’s church on Sunday mornings.
He is predeceased by his parents Adam and Elizabeth, his siblings Mercedes, Adam JR, and Jack, and his daughter in law, Janet. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Joanne, his three children Michael, Patricia, Mark and his wife Barb, his sister Betty Jane, his ten grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for visitation on Monday August 12th from 4:00–8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, at 12:00PM at Denville Cemetery, Denville NJ. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Gerard here to continue to celebrate his life and let his light shine. His family will cherish them always.
