Obituary of Barbara Ann Judkins
Barbara A. Judkins, 79, of Boonton, NJ, went home to God on July 2, 2024.
Barbara was born in Smithfield, VA to George and Dorothy (Rice) Hayes. She moved to Boonton and lived there for over 50 years. Barbara married James T. Judkins and they raised their family of 6 children surrounded by love and the Lord.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother – her family was everything to her. She loved hosting parties and cookouts with her family and friends. Barbara was known for her delicious sweet potato pie, and her enthusiasm for Word Search puzzles. She was a long-time parishioner of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, James, and their son, Milton; her siblings, Otilia, Georgia Lee, Thomas, Donnie and Roberta. She is survived by her cherished children, Nora McReynolds, Priscilla Judkins, Joann Farley, Dorothy Griffiths and Michael Judkins; her grandchildren, Anthony, Charles, Andrea, Rebecca and Katie; her siblings, Gail Hayes and George Hayes, Jr.; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday, July 18th at Norman Dean Home of Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, followed by the service at 12:00pm. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton after the service. Services are provided by Codey & Mackey Funeral Home of Boonton.
