Obituary of Ann Marie Corrigan

Ann Marie (Bracken) Corrigan, of Rockaway, NJ, passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 86.

 

Born on February 23, 1937 in Orange, NJ to Joseph Bracken, and Ann Crummey Bracken, she grew up in South Orange and is a graduate of Our Lady of the Valley High School. She was a very active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church where she was a member of the folk group and played the piano. She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Howard Apirian in Millburn, NJ before retiring and moving to the Fox Hills Community in Rockaway Twp., NJ 20 years ago.

 

She is predeceased in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Frank J. Corrigan Jr., her sister, Delores Corrigan, and her brother, Sonny Bracken. 

 

Ann Marie leaves behind her loving children Thomas and his wife Dawn Corrigan, Michael and his wife Elizabeth Corrigan, Katie Nichols, and Kelly Corrigan. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ashlei, Ryan, Eric (Tommy), Meghan, Erin (Michael), Andrew, Owen, Brian (Katie), and Brady (Kelly) along with 5 great-grandchildren; Declan, Alexander, Francesca, Grant, and Benjamin.

 

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00AM at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 154 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Dover, NJ. Under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Rd. Morristown, NJ 07960. At Ann Marie’s request, there will not be a wake. The family will be available to visit with guests at the church prior to the Mass from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.

 

Due to the season of Lent in progress, the flower limit has already been exceeded, so in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @ stjude.org/give. Ann Marie was a monthly “Partner in Hope” donor for decades.
