Ron was not only my tax accountant, he was a trusted advisor. He supported me through my divorce and transition from Pharma to Non-profit, providing guidance whenever asked. He made me laugh and I enjoyed his company and respected his counsel. He will truly be missed. My condolences to his family.

Ron was a dear friend over the past 41 years as our families grew up together in Roxbury. Our personal relationship to Ron and Patti, Chris and Kevin, were special and the times we shared family moments together on the field with our kids, or a Presidential Inauguration of Reagan in DC. and many other events.
Ron was always there to give financial advice to our family and Gateway. He built a loyal team in his CPA practice and always respected their loyalty.
Ron would always be candid and speak of his family in any conversation we would have.
His battle over health issues is a testament to the fight he won for so many years and the support of his family in the battle.
We are blessed to have known Ron over these 40+ years and will cherish the memories.
Our deepest sympathy to Patti, Chris and Kevin and the family.
God Bless.

As kids, we looked forward to visiting with our cousins. Baseball was the preferred sport. Cousin Ron was always a guy who you could count on. He stood up for what was right and was a stalwart in his beliefs. He demonstrated great strength throughout his life. Family and faith were two of his greatest strengths. Saying I will miss him is an understatement. May he rest in peace.

Memories of Ron go back to when we met as coaches in Little League some 35 years ago. Peter and I coached a different team on the fields in Succasunna but our teams played each other and both of our kids both grew up in the Roxbury school system. At some point a couple years into Little League, Ron became our accountant. We always enjoyed exchanging stories on our annual tax appointment and, as the years passed, it became an old home week to catch up with our lives, so close and yet so divergent, and talk about the kids after they graduated high school and college and, of course, politics! I felt Ron so deserved his appointment to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission and had faith that he would do what was best for all.
To us, Ron was one of the good guys, straight forward and detailed, full of business acumen but compassionate, interesting and multi-faceted. I will miss seeing Ron at tax time, whenever I work the election polls at Jefferson School where he and Patty voted, and on the occasions where I would see him around town and we would catch up on our health and lives. For all the good that you did, the help you gave, and for the family you are leaving, may God Bless you all. Our sincere sympathies to Patty, Chris, and Kevin, and Ron's grandchildren. May his memory live in your hearts and souls. Thank you for all the community and personal counsel you gave, the fight you fought, and the good you did. Joyce and Peter Dargel

I knew Ron for about 50 years, having gone to college with his brother Joe. Ron was a dedicated and loyal fan of Siena College and took great joy whenever Siena would beat Seton Hall in a sporting event. We all sparred with Ron at various times, even when we coached little league with him in the mid 1970s. It was his nature I think!!! He was an outstanding accountant and manager as evident by his political appointments in New Jersey and his long standing accounting firm.
He was quick with his objections to what was said, but he kept us on our toes. He will be missed. Rest in Peace our dear friend.

Cousin Ron was one of the most courageous men I know. We always had some very heartfelt conversations, and he gave the best advice anyone could ever ask for. I literally grew up with Cousin Ron always there. I remember as a little girl when I first met him while he was dating Patti Jean and then later marrying her, how happy I was part of our family. He is a wonderful steward of our Lord and Savior. He is kind, caring, and just a wonderful person. I will miss you Cousin Ron on this earth, but I truly look forward to our meeting again up in heaven. Love you!

"When the Angels come to guide someone, you love to His heavenly kingdom, this will not be the most difficult day of your life...though sad, we must rejoice!", Harry.
It truly seems like only yesterday that Kurt and I met our next-door neighbors in the dorms at Ryan Hall, Siena College, Ron D. and Jimmie D. They were the upper classmen who made us immediately feel like one of their friends. With cards in hand and fun in their hearts we learned the most important thing about college life...pinochle.
That year we became brothers united in a fraternal group of Kappa Omega Psi, cheering for our Basketball team at what Ron called "Gibbon Gardens", and sharing a cold Gennie at the Rat which was conveniently located below the Gardens.
God has blessed us with Ron, with Patti and with lots and lots of fine memories. We shared many tears together, tears of joy and laughter. I must say that Heaven, in all its glory, has received the Master-of-Ceremonies. Thanks for being the friend of us all. May you rest peacefully, amen.

I am deeply sadened by Ron’s passing. He was always kind and considerate to me and my family and was a pleasure to be around. Ron was always there to volunteer to help out his town, county and state. A really special man who always provided advice to others. I will miss our conversations on a variety of issues, Roxbury has lost a gem. His institutional knowledge of Roxbury can not be replaced. My heartfelt condolences to Ron’s family.

Transferred to Siena as a junior, and Ron was one of the first to welcome me to 3E Ryan Hall. Ron was ready to play all of our dorm sports, but was a true standout in sports statistics, whether Siena basketball, college or professional teams or standings. He had a real penchant for everything numbers.
Our sincerest condolences to Patti, sons, grandchildren and family, and friends far and near. May our memories with Ron be everlasting. Raise a cold one with Kurt…

I knew Ron in college- he was a Siena frat brother to my future husband, Kurt. What a crazy Siena crew! We all stayed in touch over the years and tried to get together for Siena Basketball games once a year. Ron was a good guy. I bet he and my husband, who passed in 2021, are up in heaven together, chatting about Siena basketball.
